Well, this was simultaneously a depressing and enlightening session.
The main concern was that a number of US jurisdictions were planning to implement draconian means of assessing the quality of teacher education programs. For example, the strength of a particular program could be judged by the achievements of the students under the tutelage of the teachers who had graduated from this particular program.
In terms of trends for this course, I suppose we could be noting one trend as that of establishing vast data resources that can be mined by morons with power.
