Here I posted some general ideas about future scenarios from a global perspective. I found some general reflections useful before starting. Please let me know your thoughts about them.

Laura, thanks for the post. Quite interesting. We all must read it to have the big picture.
Of course you say that Normis, you are my friend =)
Hi Laura,
the figures shared are interesting in one specific aspect, the speed of change that influenced heavily the life of countries mentioned in this article. The future will show how countries like China, Vietnam etc will digest the cultural change and paradigm shift. Taking the experience of the Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia we should have learned that with the change other things have to be adapted, for example the general education. Since the education cycle takes longer then the technology cycle to implement, national governments and large companies and institutions should have more social responsibilities against their country. The fact is that the economic ,monetary wealth is considered more important than the overall shout growing of the specific country. So effectively a solution is not easy to propose since people are driven by an egoistic force with the result of not thinking globally on a mid- or long term range . So I admire organizations like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, proving that another (more human) approach is possible and functioning.
The 100 million dollar question is : What is better, the pace that China is showing or a more moderate, controlled approach into modern age.
Thank you my friend, your thoughts are quite interesting, unfortunatelly, those egoistic forces you talk about exceed the good intentions of a few...and I have always wondered, why not the best and the right people take the power and rule with values and generosity for a change? the problem is that there are always strong economical, political forces and interests around that most of the time are simply impossible to take for the good souls. I hope some day this will happen in a global basis.
About the 100 dollar question, quite a good one...I go for the moderate approach into modern age, more human, slow and thought. Technology is there, and we will always learn something new, but wee need to slow down a little to recover our moments, to stop running around in life with not enough time, to rethink our mission here, to stop and ask ourselves: why are we here? or what are we doing here? to have more time to share with our families, to breath the air without suffocating, to relax and do sports, to take care of ourselves, to drink and eat enjoying the flavor, to admire the flowers colors or a full moon...
Why, in the past when there was no computer or online instant communication, and everything was slower, we still hade more time for ouselves and our beloved ones? I wonder...
And "You may say I´m a deamer, but I'm not the only one..."

Hi Laura, I was enjoying reading your reply. It all has to do with global, business and personal objectives, how much is "quality of living and quality of life" important to you etc..etc..etc.
For many people success in every form is a very wanted status symbol and even if they reach a certain level they want stop. There are excellent examples to proof this evidence, look at the new "rich" people structure, mainly from Russia and China and you will recognize the way it works. So I don't think you can define yourself a dreamer, i would define you more a good minded idealist.
I suggest you should remain that way
