According to Meeker, one of the reasons that mobile devices gain more strength every day is the low cost. In Mexico, it does not happen. Internet on a PC or a Laptop is the cheaper way to connect: in this country having a mobile device it's expensive, but the Internet connection trough this devices is even more expensive. In addition, this year a new tax afflicts telecommunications and its users:

"A new tax (4% overload for telecommunications) proposed on products and services, under the budget 2010 in Mexico..." on http://www.celularis.com/noticias/nuevo-impuesto-a-las-telecomunicacione...

This means that besides the tax from 16% to any use, you know have to add 4% extra.

In Mexico, having a mobile device with internet access is a symbol of status, the masses can not access it, maybe this is a "Black Swan" for Meeker's predictions.

As a country, in these circumstances, how can we move forward?
