How does one get credit for this - methinks I might qualify even despite full teaching load and 2 other online classes for credit, because I am so very interested and willing to learn!
Thanks!
Kay
Hi,
I see in this thread a personal quest to get credit for this course, and I think its part of a larger discussion about credentialing in the future of education.
I've made a post here and invite you to pop over and join our conversation about the wider issue. http://edfutures.com/forumpost/institutions-and-learning-dichotomy#comme...
Oh, good, I had the same question. Dave, feel free to ignore my email and I'll just check back here! :-)
We're still debating this issue... we'll have some kind of response ready when we start the course on Monday.
That's a relief! I thought I was stupid not to see where y'all had posted the information. Awesome, thanks.

Hi Kay -
"Official" credit is handled through University of Manitoba - this course is part of their Certificate in Emerging Technologies Program. Dave and I were initially slated to teach the course in that program, but they didn't run it at this time because of low enrolments. But, Dave and I had already committed to running it as an open course, so we decided to continue offering it...but with TEKRI and EdITLib as sponsors...
btw - have you had a chance to review Dave's post on the topic of accreditation/credit? http://edfutures.com/blogs/davecormier/accreditation-and-assessment-open...
