Rubric for Assessing Critical Thinking

Washington State University has worked for over a decade on developing a rubric for assessing critical thinking. We have used this rubric, and various variants, in a number of disciplines and assignments.
You can learn about the history of the project here: wsuctproject.wsu.edu.
The current version of the rubric, called the Critical and Integrative Thinking rubric is linked from that page.
cool rubric. i look forward to trying it out in an upcoming PD session.
on the critical thinking front, Stephen Downes just announced an upcoming open course (starts June) on Critical Literacies, from a connectivist perspective. http://www.downes.ca/post/52307

I was unable to access your link...is it the same as this one ?
I had the same problem linking when I used Firefox. When I put the url into Internet Explorer, it worked just fine...
Thanks for sharing. Very useful information that I can use for redesigning rubrics for the adult education course I facilitate online.

This rubric is clear, concise and useful.
It raises a question that we are dealing with on our campus. For our undergraduate international business studies program, we also struggle with how to encourage students to think of a plan of action once they have critically examined a situation. I am wondering if you considered assessing the ability to choose from viable alternatives/scenarios and effectively implement a solution.
