Just an open invite, looking for collaborators who prefer to wikify their understanding of education futures.
By all means, feel free to contribute. I will add a brief video within the wiki to go over basic editing functions if that will help. If you need further assistance, let me know and I will try to help.
I've spend some time in WikiEducator and have found newbie tutorials at this link:

Great link Sharon. Also, there are free workshops on WE going on all the time. I highly recommend taking one (either the 10 day or 4 day workshop).
or under construction... I promise to add more still today. Everyone is welcome to participate. the idea is, get a place, an open place, where we can 1) organise or thoughts and share ideas, 2) add 'outsiders' to the discussion - and I think FB is great for that.
I'm not happy with the end result as it is NOT finished. Here's the link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Edfutures-Open-Course-in-Education/1148344...
good start with the wikieducator page. Any approach - FB/WE/Blogs - that is under the control of course members is a great start. We don't need to settle on one approach either. We can use multiple spaces for conversation. I'm always partial to tools that are open (like WE) in contrast with FB :)

Hi, B.!
I'm so jealous! - what a brilliant idea you had. If you don't mind, I'd prefer Facebook, a fan page. I've done it before and works well. Actually, I was considering this as a sort of self-help-method for catching up!
Looking forward for your comments....
I've decided not to support Facebook but that means I should probably get off Friendfeed too...(now owned by FB) how fickle of me.
A FB page works too! Collaborators should gravitate to those social networking sites that works best for them.
Do you have a link?
I will have to check with George or Dave what type of page is best: a group or an official page - we don't want to break any rules... :-)
After a wonderful evening correctign English tests, it's time for me to head dreamland ;-). I don't have - YET. Stand by... :-)
Thank you that's generous and useful for aligning teachers like myself who have less practice with wikis.
If you are here and participating, I doubt you will find wikis much more challenging, Ruth! I've used and had my students use both Wikispaces and Pbworks. I encourage you to try it! Collaboration is the name of the game - get in it!
:-) Kay
Thanks Kay

Ben. I love the Wiki that you've developed. Is it possible for us to add to it? I have to confess that I've never used Wiki before as a contributor. So as a newbie I'm not sure how to go about working with it. I obviously know how to go in and read through it but how do I help develop it? Basics like how do I add an article? a link? and how do I link back to the open futures site contributions?
Do I need to be added as a contributor to allow me to work on it? Does Wiki have tutorials to show me how to do what I'm asking you? I'd love to contribute as I think it's a useful tool to have access to during the course and of course once the course is completed.
